Trueflow SE v7.0 is the first step in the brand new Equiosnet workflow environment, which integrates CTP and digital print environments. It is robust and easy to use and has at its heart Adobe PDF Print Engine 2 for maximum reliability.

APPE2 allows the processing of native PDF files without the need to convert them to PostScript. It also uses JDF files to keep process-related information separate from the design data, which eliminates the need for transformation and compensation. PDFs remain unconverted and device independent right up to final output.

There is a new approach to Trueflow’s job ticket and Imposition engine. This newly optimised and enhanced Job function module is called Equios Pre4m and directly enables the handling of JDF stripping parameters by Trueflow. It is rich in functionality and Screen has added improved job functions to further streamline print production.

The flexible and highly automated CTP and digital press production uses JDF-based job tickets and offers improved integration wit other production steps such as MIS and post-press. Data and process management in a hybrid workflow are unified under a single system immediately before printing begins. This means that production personnel can react easily to changes, even last minute alterations to the number of copies required.

It is simple to upgrade from any existing Trueflow level to a Trueflow SE v7.0 environment, including the new Equios Pre4m module, enabling every Trueflow user to benefit from the new features. These upgrades will be available in early 2010.
