Metrix SE, an advanced job planning and Running under both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, Metrix SE is an intelligent automated layout calculator, generating optimised job plans and JDF-based imposition data directly to Trueflow for processing. Metrix SE performs the job planning and imposition simultaneously, automatically, and dynamically and can handle flat, folded, and/or bound products as individual jobs or in any combination for ganged layouts. The system can also integrate with front-end MIS systems and operates in ‘real-time’, re-creating layouts on-the-fly to accommodate changes to job run-length, press and/or finishing. As a result, Metrix SE increases productivity for commercial printers by saving time, reducing costs by integrating imposition and planning into a single module, and eliminating planning/imposition-induced errors. |
